Genetec ClearID™ demo and test environments allow users to develop and test the quality of their solutions, while production environments are where solutions become available to end users.
Connecting to the demo environment through a development account allows you to develop and test your ClearID API solutions on the appropriate server.
The two instances of ClearID deployed in the cloud are as follows:
Demo and test environment: https://demo.clearid.io
Production environment: https://portal.clearid.io
If you need to develop something with the ClearID API, we do not recommend doing it on your production environment where you have a live Security Synergis™ system controlling real doors in your building. There is a risk of impacting real users and overloading your subscription license by creating dummy Identities.

Since we are using a different set of servers for development versus real production accounts, the base URI of the API endpoint is different.
Getting a development account
If you do not have an account on demo.clearid.io, contact your Genetec representative to get a development account.
Security Center demo instance
To test your integration with ClearID, you might need to request a demo license of Security Center Synergis that you install on a windows machine to have an isolated system.
