New certified integration: Mobile ID by SMI Global

Congratulations SMI Global!

We are pleased to announce that the Mobile ID solution by SMI Global has met our rigorous performance criteria and is now certified with the Genetec DAP group.

SMI enables handheld devices to act as readers in Synergis™. The solution solves the problem of using a wall reader when there is no wall, allowing access control to be used anywhere it is needed, free from physical boundaries.

A mobile device can enhance security in multiple environments: a remote access point or location, a temporary checkpoint, an extended security cordon, or a construction site for a new facility. The ability to display cardholder details allows users to verify that the cardholder is an authorized person.

Mobile ID main features:

• Mirror the usage of wall reader for maximum security.

• Provide security on demand by moving security to the point of need.

• Preserve data integrity and ease of connectivity by only using tools from Genetec.

• Support a wide range of credentials with built-in card reading technology for the latest mobile devices.

• Verify identities via images and other data. Other parameters can include health and safety, training levels, skills and competencies, contractor details, and emergency contacts. If data is held in Security Center, then it can be displayed.

• Facilitate the set-up of muster points where needed.

• Allow operation in all environments by providing handheld devices with an IP rating of 68.
