The Device Service API is a service that simplifies web-based communication with and control of devices. Using the Device Service API allows you to keep track of and manage the different devices directly visible to Genetec Clearance™.

Required security policies
Special permissions are required to perform any operation from this API. Access can be granted to a user by following the procedure below.
Open the Configurations page.
Select the Security policies tab.
Add the user in the security policy named Manage devices.
Check if your permissions are sufficient.
Users can verify if their permissions are sufficient for using the API by making a request to /tenant/{tenantId}/device/canmanage.
